Senior Support Engineer

The Senior Support Engineer position is a very challenging and demanding role. This position is a senior position within Deltapath and has a specific career path within our services organization (Position can lead to technical team lead, development, consulting & training experts, project and engagement manager, service manager etc).

Responsibilities:

You will be part of our world class support team working on tier 1 and 2 tickets coming via phone, web, and email from our partner’s and customer’s engineers, perform proactive monitoring of customer production sites and carry out schedule maintenance and upgrades. You will also be involved in onsite/remote professional and field services activities such as system planning, deployment and training. Occasionally, you will be expected to perform emergency support during non-office hours.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technology field.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in a customer focused position involving technical knowledge of a company’ s products and services.
  • Proficiency in Cantonese, English and Mandarin is an absolute requirement.
  • Knowledge in following areas is preferred:
    • Operating system: Linux, Windows, Mac OS, Android, iOS
    • Networking: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, QoS, Router, Firewall, POE switch
    • Telephony: T1/E1 PRI, ISDN BRI, CO Trunks, FXS Stations, IP-PBX, IP Phones, VC equipment
    • Session Initiated Protocol (SIP) and CCNA (voice) skill set
  • Passionate and proactive, team player, no politics.
  • Flexible and able to work within an ambiguous, fast-moving environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage several milestones and projects efficiently.
  • Time-management skills and the ability to establish reasonable and attainable deadlines for resolution.

Desktop Software Developer (Windows)

As our Desktop Software Developer (Windows), you will take the lead to design and develop real-time desktop applications that enable enterprise users to communicate and collaborate over video, voice, chat, and desktop sharing. Your end product will change the way people communicate. You are expected to have prior knowledge and experience with developing real-time applications under Windows environment.

This will be a demanding role that requires you to be self-driven to solve complex and challenging technical problems. You will take the lead to design and implement features and own it from start to finish. You will be part of an intimate yet aggressive engineering team who works closely with each other from design to QA.

Critical Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent education
  • 4 years of experience in Software Development
  • 1 year of experience in .NET, WPF, and C#
  • Good understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, database concepts and algorithms.
  • Proficiency in Windows desktop application development, with a demonstrable understanding of the Windows OS (from Windows 7 to Windows 10) and Microsoft technologies, interfaces and mechanisms
  • Familiar with the skills to optimize the performance and memory usage.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in XMPP, HTTP, web sockets.
  • Experience in real-time or voice/video/text/screen-sharing communication in Windows environment.
  • Strong knowledge in TCP/IP, SIP and related computer networking.

Critical Skills & Experience:

  • Strong knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
    • Telephony: T1/E1 PRI, ISDN BRI, CO Trunks, FXS Stations.
    • Networking Administration and troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, QoS, Router, Firewall).
    • Session Initiated Protocol (SIP) and CCNA (voice) skill set.
  • Fluency in English is an absolute requirement.
  • Must be able to multi-task, including successfully working simultaneous projects and issues.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and long hours under critical situations.
  • Clear and detail oriented communicator and team player.
  • Familiar with IP-PBX, IP Phones, gateways, POE switches, Video Conference equipment will be extremely useful.

This will be a demanding role that requires you to be self-driven to solve complex and challenging technical problems. You will be part of an intimate yet aggressive engineering team who works closely with each other from design to QA.

Critical Skills & Experience:

  • Good understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, database concepts and algorithms.
  • Proven skills in designing API, frameworks, and reusable components.
  • Solid knowledge with Object-Oriented Programming and design patterns used in Android.
  • Familiar with Android coding convention, able to organize and document the application professionally.
  • Familiar with the skills to optimize the performance and memory usage.
  • Passionate about the latest technology in mobile

Preferred Qualifications:
